EDI Gandhinagar hosts ‘Boost Your Business’ Program of Facebook

To grow the Gujarati businessmen online, Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India, Gandhinagar hosted Facebook’s Boost Your Business Program on July 18, 2017, that currently runs in more than 35 cities in the country, supporting 30,000 small scale entrepreneurs and 7000 businesses women. During this workshop, more than 400 entrepreneurs from 22 states participated in learning the tactics of monetizing their business online and reach the glocal market through Facebook.

EDI has collaborated with the goliath of social media to train more than 20,000 youth on online entrepreneurship in India. The program was inaugurated in the presence of Vijay Rupani, Chief Minister of Gujarat, and was conducted by Ritesh Mehta, South Asia Head of Programs, Facebook. He explained how current digitally literate businessman could bank on the opportunity of getting business from 201 million monthly active Facebook users, who cumulatively makes more than 1.9 billion interactions between businesses and people of India. Indians are getting more aware of online marketing strategies than ever before, and opportunities like this will help Gujarat in becoming a leading example to guide other states.
