Abraham Poincheval a French artist who is already renowned for spending a week inside a rock and surviving for two weeks inside a bear sculpture recently hatched hen eggs with his own body warmth at the Paris’ Palais de Tokyo contemporary art museum.
Before starting the project Poincheval believed that it would take around 21-26 days for him to hatch these chicken eggs and the artist successfully did it in 3 weeks. He was sitting inside a glass protected cube and was wearing a blanket around him to create an insulating atmosphere to incubate the eggs. The artist could only leave his seat for 30 minutes within a day. The hatched 10 chicks are on their way to the farm now.
