A solitaire was lost from the necklace of Indian Carnatic music on November 22, 2016. Vocalist and composer M. Balamuralikrishna was suffering from acute illness and took his last breath in Chennai. A veteran who was apt in almost every music creative Bala sir was a heart throbbing Carnatic Vocalist, Musician, multi-instrumentalist, playback singer, composer and also a character actor. His heart throbbing voice and Saraswati Kanth called throat has composed some eternally classical tunes for Swathi Thirunal, Madhvacharya and various other famous banners. Honored with innumerable accolades till date, Bala sir was awarded the second highest civilian award of India, Padma Vibhushan in 1991. The world will certainly miss this great artistic soul.
