The Japanese Prime Minister HE Shinzo Abe visited the city of Ahmedabad on September 13th and 14th, for the fourth annual Indo-Japan Summit. The key purpose of the fourth summit is to do the ground breaking ceremony of Ahmedabad-Mumbai Bullet Train which will be commissioned with the financial and technical expertise of Japan.
Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi and the Japanese PM share a very warm bon-homie and this was evident in the one-of-its kind cultural road show organised to welcome the Japanese PM and the First Lady of Japan. A unique 8 km long road show with host of cultural programs along its way was curated to warmly receive the international guests and make them see the diversity of Indian culture.
As part of the celebration the city of Ahmedabad is beautifully decorated. All the bridges and the roads by the Sabarmati Riverfront and lit up to match the glorious occasion. Ahmedabad is now India’s first World Heritage City and both the Prime Ministers were slated to visit the centuries old mosque Sidi Saiyad to view its encapsulating beauty and carving. In this picture story we bring you some beautiful snaps of the city that is looking its best.
