World of Insects

Kanaksinh Barsadia, who hails from Bardoli town of Gujarat, is a Macro photographer. His work is diverse within the field of shooting, and in this album he has captured macro glimpse of micro insects through his Nikon D7000 camera.

His recent trip to Dang, which is surprisingly still untouched by industrialization turned out to be a picturesque experience with rich lush green trees, animals and insects. His lens was able to capture the minute details of every insect. The texture of every part of insect was so detailed that it truly defined the aesthetics of the creator. Nature runs its course and to capture a living organism you need to develop a huge amount of patience and focus on the subject. Photographer Kanaksinh was well equipped with all the macro photography required apparatus like macro lens, close up filters, extension tubes, reverse ring and most importantly the macro mindset.

Insects are the real heroes, who keep our ecological system happy, healthy and growing. Pollination, soil enrichment, breaking down organic matter and generating food for larger animals are a few of their job that they have been doing flawlessly since thousands of decades. There are almost 950,000 discovered species of insects out there and we humans are about to bring an extinction spree for every one of them.
