LITTLE DESIRE

The saying, “A picture is worth thousand words” has always been the core of inspiration for Ankit Mavchi. Many years ago, he came across a moment, where observing an image made him realise that it had nothing much in the frame, but still, it had everything in a photograph. That moment made him realize what it really meant when they said “A picture is worth thousand words.” He was self-taught the art of viewing images, which eventually got implemented in his photography technique.

 

In the Little Desire – A Minimalism Based Photo Series, what’s captured is the loudness and silences of minimalist compositions among chaotic environment of streets, people and nature. The merging of subjects with the sublime environ is the essence of this album. A picturesque poetry or an expression of monochrome can precisely portray the feeling of the viewer.

 

A profound glimpse is higher than just a cool lens, it includes a spine chilling posture/angle taken by the photographer, a reflexive timing, a subjective patience for the perfect capture and what not. It takes an equal effort to transform yourself from a photographer to a painter. And Ankit has lucratively proven it within the album.
