Garba Glimpse of Gujarat

Being creative is a full-time job. A responsibility that cannot be compromised once delegated. Photographer Paren Adhyaru, who completely understands this duty, gives more than his 100% while clicking every snap. With no formal education in visual arts or photography, Paren still managed to photograph for dignified brands like Times of India, Inside Outside, Femina, and various others. Spending 100 days a year as a photographer, rest 265 days as a Business Optimizer, and all 365 days as a beloved husband, Paren’s pockets were fulfilled by his business but the heart’s urge was still sufficed only through photography.

No disparage against Mumbai, but the city of dreams has always been overpopulating with human civilization. And photographer Paren, who basically hails from Mumbai, was always skeptical about the hidden truth behind expressive human faces. This made him more inquisitive about individual behavior leading him to get a niche in the genre of ‘people’s photography’ and understand the crowd better. His album Garba Glimpse of Gujarat reflects the trance mode of a Khelaiya (Dancer) while performing during Navratri. Navratri, which is normally a 9-night dance festival is enthusiastically celebrated across India. The sense of freedom and the frolic motion captured with a Nikon 800 by Paren is startling. The joy of celebration and the accessories worn by charming women excels the beauty of Navratri and the aesthetics of this album.
