One of the world’s most creative toys that teach children constructive skills has now started including weapons to retain children’s attention in the digital age. The first Lego castle toy kit that was manufactured with a violent streak was in 1978 with swords, axes and lances. Today, 30% of lego sets manufactured, have some weapon as part of it. Online reports also state that almost 40% of the visual content that accompanies the toy sets, shows violence is some form.
Is the market need pushing makers like LEGO or is it the toy companies that impact the market, that is the question to debate!?
