The 86th edition of Ahmedabad Art Weekly is all about reaching out to the maximum number of creative inspiration needy citizens of Ahmedabad. This version of our weekly is dedicated to one of the Gujarat’s most beautiful music composer, Shri Dilip Dholakia. Hailing from the cultural city of Junagadh, Dilip was attached to music at a very early age and accelerated as a singer in his early days. He has composed mesmerising music for eight Hindi and eleven Gujarati films till date. He has composed for HMV records sung by Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle, Kishori Amonkar and various other established artists. His formal training in music was conducted under Pandurang Amberkar, a pupil of Amanat Ali Khan. The Taari Annkho Afeeni singer is still adored by thousands of music lovers till date.
