The inspiration for 140th AAW is city’s doyen of the textile industry and author of culinary literature ‘Bhojan No Anand’, Anjali Mangaldas. A graduate of the Royal College of London, Mangaldas had a keen interest towards the art of textile and thus continued her education in the same field. As a prolific collector, she has a humongous collection of Gujarati textile art displayed at The Ahmedabad Trunk, in the prestigious House of MG. As a stalwart, she had a keenness in challenging her limitations, a trait which compelled her to become the foremost student at Kadamb Dance School and learn the aesthetics of Kathak. Mangaldas left for heavenly abode on 14th of May, 2017.
