The Ahmedabad Art Weekly 114 is here to update you with this week’s most enchanting events. With unique theatrical performances, thought-provoking literature events, engaging cultural gatherings, and enriching religious processions the city land’s thirst will be quenched through creativity and innovation, if not with water. Most of the events are age neutral and are preferable for a 10-year-old to a 90-year-old enrichment seeking fellow.
The AAW 114 is dedicated to Indulal Kanaiyalal Yagnik an author, playwright, filmmaker and revolutionary who lead the Mahagujarat Movement and demanded a separate Gujarat state in 1956. Called by the name of Indu Chacha by loved ones, Yagnik was born in Nadiad, Kheda, procured a degree in law and wrote numerous remarkable written works, including his six-volume Gujarati autobiography, Atmakatha. He initiated and edited several publications including Young India, Navjivan ane Satya, Mumbai Samachar, and Bombay Chronicle and produced poems, Gujarati dramas, short notes and more than ten films under the banner of Young India Pictures. A CY tribute to the man who gave us our ‘Garvi Gujarat’.
