AAW #69

August, the month with a maximum number of holidays and festivities is about to begin and last but not the least for July, the 69^th Ahmedabad Art Weekly has some unique events to fill in your bucket list. The energetic week is full of poetry starting with a 3-day poetry festival at MICA wherein International poetry champions would contribute their inputs. Prisma has taken over social media aggressively these days, but this week take a look, how picturesque photograph exhibitions and painting exhibitions are flourishing without the Prisma look. A stand-up comedy performance by MicTesting, movie screening of some of the best movies in history, a jaw-dropping theatrical performance and a book launch all are a part of this week’s line-up.

This week Creative Yatra and 69^th AAW is inspired by ‘The father of India’s Space Programme’, Dr. Vikram Sarabhai. His contribution in astronomical sciences is one of the reasons why India was able to make on the list of ‘Countries capable of launching their own satellites’. Not continuing the industrial line of his father, Dr. Vikram Sarabhai has been honoured with Padma Bhushan and Padma Vibhushan as a scientist. A man who believed in knowledge, education and empowering the society, Vikram Sir will always be named first while talking about the Indian Space Research Organization.
