It’s been an engaging three months for the curators at Manavpratishthan. It is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to promote visual arts and aesthetics among the youth with major focus on Photography. For this object, every year, since last 11 years they organise an annual competition to recognize and acknowledge rising talent in the field of digital photography.
The competition was announced in June, that received 439 entries, out of which 155 were chosen and put to final Jury test. The eminent jury consisted of Shri Mukesh Acharya and Shri Dharmesh Panchal who went through the rigorous process of selecting the top 8.
As per the tradition, the winning photographs along with other selected entries are put up on display as an exhibit for public to engage and appreciate the same.
Here is the Picture Story from the exhibtion inauguration and Award ceremony held on August 19th at Ravishankar Raval Kala Bhavan, Ahmedabad. The exhibition is open for all till 21st August, 12pm to 7pm every day. The event was presided by Shri Ketan Modi, Trustee and the leader of Manavprathishthan and Shri Dharmesh Panchal, a well known photographer and a Jury Member of the event. The exhibition attracted lot of photography enthusiasts to the gallery, and it was indeed unique to view such variety of work from photographers across Gujarat, on display at a single venue!
