Creative Yatra’s Vivid Tricolour Coverage on the 71st Independence Day

The day of pride, when at the stroke of midnight India as a nation was declared independent from the 200-year-old colonisation of the British Rule on August 15, 1947. The patriotic national holiday is to feel proud of being an Indian citizen and respecting the ‘Bharat Mata’ by participating in flag hoisting, recitation of the national anthem, celebration, parades and speeches by the Prime Minister and the President of India. The citizens are noticed wearing tricolour attires to commemorate the day, and the celebrations take place across the world on every August 15th. The Independence Day of 2017 is the 71st year of independence and Ahmedabad couldn’t feel happier than this!

The images are taken from the Independence Day celebration at Gujarat University and LD Institute of Engineering in Ahmedabad.
