Ahmedabad : Diversity's Child

When the rusty coloured stones of the heritage sites in Ahmedabad are shadowed by colossal clouds pregnant with emotional fluid, the residents of Ahmedabad receive a picturesque sight while commuting around their milieu. After UNESCO’s massive announcement on declaring Ahmedabad as India’s first World Heritage City, the local authorities are on their toes in making sure that the city becomes the livable cultural site. The August 1 to 15, 2017 has been declared as Ahmedabad Heritage Festival, which is a great initiative by the government for people to celebrate this title, but the walled city needs culturally sensitive repair works on priority rather than just glorified illuminations highlighting the monuments.

The pictures are clicked by photographer Marmik Shah, an IT professional, who occasionally escapes the technicality of his career through capturing creativity in his lens.
