WWII footage digitised by Nat'l Film Archives

The Armed Forces Film and Photo Division of Ministry of Defense, handed over a rare 30 hour film footage of World War II to the National Film Archives of India at Pune.

In a press release, NFAI director Prakash Magdum has informed that the rare footage includes footage from various war fronts from all over the world. He further said that the titles of some of the footage are India Strikes, From India to Tunis, Battle of Britain, Fire over London, A day with Indian Troops in Egypt, Johny Gurkha:Baluch Regiment, Madras Guards, Selected Sequences from Burma Campaign.

Mr. Prakash said that the film also contains some rare footage of leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Patel, Muhammed Ali Jinnah and others.
