The ‘City of Music’ heritage is being celebrated at ‘Sur Ganga’, a carnival of music organised from April 18 to May 30 by Varanasi Municipal Corporation in association with UNESCO at Varanasi, Bihar. With this festivity, Varanasi city is declared under the category of ‘Cities of Music’ by the Creative Cities Network and was visited by celebrated singers of the music industry of India, including Asha Bhosle and more than 5000 other budding as well as veteran musicians and artists.
The music festival is also a performing arts platform where various classical Indian dance forms are being showcased. It seems that this is the right time to visit the Moksha land and to cool down the rising mercury through the fresh breeze of Ganges.
