Robert Miles : the producer of iconic hit 'Children' Passes away!

RIP - robert-miles

The 47-year-old Italian disc jockey Robert Miles, who created a global sensation by his trance track ‘Children’ in the 90s, has left for the heavenly abode on May 9, 2017, due to an illness. The legend is cherished for inventing the Dream House genre within the electronic music industry. ‘Children’ had reached number one position on the charts of more than 12 countries across the world.

The upsurge of nightclub trend in Italy in the early 90s, had resulted in noticeable rise in late night road accidents. With the motive to counter the fast paced rave tracks, Miles wanted to write a song that can have a calming effect on the party goers and yet suit the club culture. This led to the creation of ‘Children’. This received tremendous appreciation from the authorities and more so from the parents of car-crash victims.

Born in Switzerland Miles’ keen interest towards playing the piano during his childhood days led him towards making a successful career in music. The music maestro who created other sensation tracks like Fable and One And One released his last album ‘Thirteen’ in 2011 and was off from the fame ladder during his later career, but he still continued his experimentation in music and is remembered for launching Open Lab radio station that is dedicated to experimental music. His incredible contribution in the techno music industry and the futuristic sounds produced by him will forever ripple in the hearts of his fans. RIP Miles!
