Manavpratishthan's 12th All Gujarat Photography Contest

Manav Pratishthan is a charitable organization that promotes photographic art amongst youth and experienced enthusiasts. They organize motivational events, competitions, publications, slide shows, photo talks and photo walks for generating awareness in different genres of photography as an art. To promote this motto, Manav Pratishthan every year organizes 2 photography competitions, Vijeta & Drishti for photographers of Gujarat. This year will be the 12th consecutive year for this competition. The winner receives an honorary trophy and a huge cash price as a part of recognition. The best part about this contest is that the jury keeps an open door transparency with their participants and openly select the best photographers amongst all. This kind of philanthropic activity gives even the rejected ones an approach to improve their skills in a particular manner.

This year the contest has been themed as ‘Utsav’ (celebration) for capturing glimpse that are related with celebrations, festivity and festivals.  Participants from various age groups submit their entries during this competition and only 3 are selected for the bumper prize. The authorities of these events actually want this initiative to get launched on a national level so that maximum people know the actual importance of photography as an art and not just an activity or a hobby.

The last date for submissions is 10th July, 2016, with Judging scheduled on 17th July,2016. The winner announcement shall be followed by a well planned exhibition showcasing best entries from the competition.
