International Poetry Festival in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad Poetry Festival MICA Ahmedabad

From 29th till 31st July Ahmedabad will be witnessing one of its biggest Poetry Festivals at MICA (Mudra Institute of Communications). The event is being hosted by Delhi Poetry Slam and Ahmedabad Poetry Slam in partnership with Litcomm (A student-run literary committee at MICA). The International Poetry Festival indicates an initiative on uplifting the poetry scene within the city, as people from all across the Gujarat will be participating here.

The creative writing workshop will be conducted by Ikenna Onyegbula from Canada, who is the World poetry Slam Champion, Performance Poet Andy Conner from the United Kingdom and Spoken Word Poet Kyle Louw from South Africa. And they will train the participants in how to write a masterpiece and perform a spoken word poetry, which would include the skills for enhancing and expressing creativity fearlessly, an ideal body posture of a confident poet, voice modulations and other intensive and crucial aspects of poetry performance. By the end of the program, a grand recital session will also be conducted where international facilitators, participants, and other poetry enthusiasts would come forward.

The registrations for the event are open and enthusiasts should not miss this unique opportunity.

If a country is a body, and economy is its blood, then art is its artery and literature is its heart. You may also share your poems and favorite verses on social media with the #SlamAtMICA hashtag join the festivities. To know more follow Litcomm on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram and stay tuned with Creative Yatra.
