Archival Prints showcase the vast legacy of Kanoria Centre for Arts

Kanoria Art Centre

Kanoria Centre for Arts  has mounted an exhibition of prints of the various kind at its gallery. The show opened on August 26 and will continue till September 10, 2021.

Opening after a long gap caused by the obvious Pandemic, the Centre is now relying on its own archives for a start by displaying and selling a huge 426 prints in serigraphs, linocuts, woodcuts, lithography, etching, aquatints, out of its collection of a mind boggling 982 odd!

This exhibition is showcasing and thereby eulogizing all the 122 artists who used its studios since 1985 and contributed in the creation of this treasure trove of prints over these years.

The prints are attractively priced from Rs. 1000/- onwards for the collector and it takes some perseverance and time to move through all these exhibits, some of them displayed even on racks. The show is on till Sept 10.

The centre needs to be complimented for its huge effort in curating, cataloguing and mounting this exhibition for a recommencement of activity after the shut period.
