We are just four weeks far to achieve the 100th week of Ahmedabad Art Weekly, and we are planning something big to celebrate it! It has always been the create community that made AAWs possible; the process of curation is an enriching one for us. This edition is dedicated to the Padma Bhushan Awardee Gujarati litterateur Tribhovandas Luhar, better known by his pen name ‘Sundaram’. He had diverse interest in writing ranging from poetry, Prose, Short stories, Literary Criticism to One act plays and much more. He started writing under pen name ‘Marichi’ followed by ‘Vishwakarma’, before he found a resonance in the pen name ‘Sundaram’. Influenced deeply by Sri Aurobindo, he wrote a collection of poem titled ‘Yatra’. Some of his other notable works are ‘Trishul’ (short story), Arvachin kavita (literary criticism) and ‘Vasanti Poornima’ (one act plays). There is much more under his name, and is fondly remembered even today for his contribution.
