Can we be prouder than this, Ahmedabad is actively participating in celebrating the World Heritage week and its proof is the lined up event list for this week. From 19th to 25th November, we all are responsible to spread awareness about the heritage structures around us. Ahmedabad Art Weekly 83 is proudly dedicating this week to one of the most excelent architectural structure of India Jhulta Minar (Shaking Minarets) also called as Sidi Bashi Mosque. Designed and made by Sidi Bashir a slave of Sultan Ahmed Shah in 1452, Jhulta Minar is a 600 year old structure that shakes when a speeding train goes near from it. The minares have beautiful carved balconies and their shaking quality is still a mystery. There is also a passage that connect both these towers but now beacuse the structure is too old for the visitors and that is why tourists are not allowed in this passage.
