The 78^th Ahmedabad Art Weekly is striving to transmogrify the city dwellers’ life with some of the most unique and rarest events, which will rewrite the history of Ahmedabad’s Art and cultural happenings. A Painting exhibition presenting work made by the prisoners of Sabarmati Central Jail, another painting exhibition reflecting work of an experienced and spectacular Gandhi painter, and two more painting exhibitions explaining the beautiful aesthetics knowledge of the city artists. Two unique walks enriching people with skills of photography and culinary arts. Talk show with a philosopher and poet, a design activity at CEPT, and last but not the least country’s National Tranquillity Day celebration, Gandhi Jayanti.

This month Creative Yatra will reflect the poetic gems of Gujarat in its upcoming Art Weekly and the 78^th Ahmedabad Art Weekly is dedicated to the unsung philosopher, transcendent poet and Gujarati Gazal writer Ali Khan Baloch alias Shunya Palanpuri from Ahmedabad. A grieving childhood sparking a tremendous desire of reflecting sorrows in the form of rhymes, Shunya started writing full gazals with a mature perspective at the tender age of only 16. His style of writing meaningful verses lured the attention of the audience from varied age group. Some of his famous works like Kon Maanshe (Who Will Believe) and Aankhonu Sharan (Shelter of Eyes) are still one of the loveliest ones, getting recited frequently on various occasions. A creative writer, poet, gazalkar, journalist and a beautiful human being, every literature enthusiast should definitely reach to its nearest library and grab Shunya’s anthology ASAP.
