The personality of Harshida Raval is utterly synonymous to the meaning of her name – a joy giver. Gujarati tuneful songster Harshida Raval was born in Limdi, Gujarat and became a household name after the release of her songs ‘Keva Re Malela Manna Mel?’, ‘Hu To Gai’ti Melama’ and ‘E Ke Lal Darwaje Tambu Taniya Re Lol’. Her contribution in Gujarati cinema as a playback singer was significant, because of which she was honoured with the Best Playback Singer Award five times by the Government of Gujarat. She learnt the aesthetics of  Sugam Sangeet under the tutelage of singer Rasbihari Desai and later tied conjugal bonds with virtuoso Janardan Raval. In the latter part of her life, she lent her vocal talent to devotional music and sang a large number of songs from this genre.
