Gujarati poet and essayist Suresh Dalal is our core inspiration behind the 133rd AAW. Born in Thane, Mumbai in 1932 Dalal was a literature student who then went on teaching and mentoring various institutions on the subject of Gujarati language. He edited Gujarati poetry journal Kavita and quarterly magazine Vivechana all through his career and was honoured with multiple accolades including the Sahitya Akademi Award for uplifting the literary value of Gujarati language through his contributions. His famous created sonnets are titled as Ekant, Tarikh nu Ghar, Astitva, Naam Lakhi Dau, Hastakshar, Symphony, Skyscraper, Ek Anami Nadi and Ghatana. A heartfelt tribute to the litterateur from Creative Yatra.
