The number of 111 might be called as Angel’s combination for most of the believers, but for the Yatris this means that for the 111th time Creative Yatra has brought its curated list of Ahmedabad’s most happening events of the week. The monsoons will hit anytime from now, but since we aren’t weather forecasters we can’t be sure about it, but we can guarantee the raining creativity on each one of you. With culture, literature, art, creativity and excellent talk shows the city is completely ready to drench each one of you with learnings, fun and exploration.

On 26th of May, 2017 CreativeYatra had organised the 4th chapter of Paraspar on satirical epic Bhadrambhadra with Ratilal Borisagar, we dedicate the 111th weekly to the author of the classic Gujarat Ramanlal Neelkanth. Born in 1886 in Ahmedabad Neelkanth was inclined towards literature since childhood because of his father, who was also an author. It was Neelkanth who used the medium of literature to challenge the orthodoxy and redundancy of societal norms, He achieved to create a tremendous wave through his novel Bhadrambhadra that is a satirical comment of the social redundancy and it still enjoys an unchallenged cult status as far as literary artistry in Gujarati goes. He has been honoured with various accolades including the Companions of the Order of the Indian Empire (CIE) by the British government.
