Bryan Adams' Ultimate Tour is painting the city orange

As the hysteria around International Rock Star Bryan Adams’ concert in Ahmedabad heats up, the organisers are elated with the rising demand for tickets. We have learnt that the show is going to open premium seating options for booking soon.

That the ‘Bryan Adams : The Ultimate Tour’ has chosen Ahmedabad as its pit stop, is turning out to be a major precedent for the heritage city of Ahmedabad. The organisers are leaving no stone unturned to reach out to fans. As per the latest reports the hysteria for the tickets has been on upward trend, same can be validated from the fact that 2 out of 8 sections are already sold out on the ticket selling site.

Late on friday night, HT reported that Bryan Adams might collaborate with AR Rahman and Priyanka Chopra for a combined stage performance for The Ultimate Tour. If this is real, this is going to further add fuel to the fire of rising demand for tickets.

Ahmedabad likes it ‘seated’

Unlike global trend, Ahmedabad has a special affinity for seated arrangement for concerts. In past large format concerts have provided for this arrangement in Ahmedabad. We inquired with the organisers on this and found out that they are soon going to open up premium seating options for the show. The organisers added that it was a tough task, and took multiple presentations to convince the team of Bryan Adams about this need. Finally, to the benefit of Ahmedabad audience, the concert will have seated tickets. The seated options will be in the price range of INR 7000 – 18000, depending upon its location.

Well, there are opposite views on how one should enjoy such a concert – seated or standing – atleast a few from Ahmedabad will have the option of buying a seated arrangement for themselves.

Innovative Pre-Events

There is an entire generation which has grown up listening to hugely popular numbers by Bryan Adams, be it Summer of ’69, Everything I do, Have you ever loved a woman, 18 till I die among others. At the same time, there are millenials who may not be as acquainted with Adams’ music as their predecessors. To respond to this reality, and to make the youth experience the magic of Adams’ music, the organisers are hosting series of pre-events at popular cafes of city, wherein a rock band belts out playlist of Bryan Adams songs. This, in itself, is a unique idea of promoting not just a show, but promoting ‘music’ of a generation, to listeners of another generation.
